نبتة nabtah — Arabic for a sprout, a planting, something newly grown. It is a word for the smallest thing imaginable, before it becomes anything else.
We named the house this way on purpose. A brand is loud, finished, on the shelf. A sprout is quiet, attentive, in the soil. The two need each other.
The mark above is built from the Arabic letter ن (nūn) — the first letter of nabtah. A curve cradling a single dot. A seed in a vessel.
